notes: Debris, for tenor saxophone and live electronics, is a piece about sonic residue and emergent rhythm. The electronics use high-frequency downsampling to turn the saxophone sound into a dense train of pulses, highlighting its fragmentary, residual character. Delays create interference and beating effects by layering multiphonics and dyads: instead of a fixed meter, rhythms appear naturally from overlapping sounds, emerging from the material itself.
